The workshop was organized by the Digital Innovation Observatory in SMEs with the contribution of the Omnichannel Customer Experience Observatory to deal with the topic of the value of data for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises , with a focus on the Italian panorama. The event included a first part dedicated to the intervention of five guest speakers, including Gianluca Gallinaro, one of the founding members and Business Manager of Aleide, to enrich the narrative with his own experience and the presentation of some company case studies. While the other guests spoke about the importance of the data from the point of view of those who have accumulated experience in this regard by working in an SME, Aleide was the only web agency called to take part in the event, as a partner of Aruba Business , to deal with the topic from the perspective of those who offer consultancy and create digital services for data management. Subsequently, in the second part, the speakers and other professionals in the sector invited to attend the presentation of the case histories , participated in a working table where they had the opportunity to engage in a heated debate on the major needs of SMEs relating to management of data and the best solutions to satisfy them.
Aleide's presentation on the value of data in SMEs Our intervention, accompanied by a presentation that you can find attached at the bottom of the article, started from a small provocation: we asked ourselves why it is commonly thought that data management is linked only to large companies and multinationals and not to small and medium-sized enterprises. Maybe because a small amount of data is considered less important? In fact, it is observed that in the SME scenario, especially the Italian ones, there remains a strong myopia regarding how useful and profitable Denmark Telegram Number Data correct data management can be, probably due to a gap in know-how and a lack of resources to dedicate to these activities. Often when we talk about data we therefore mistakenly tend to think only of marketing and sales or turnover data , underestimating the importance of analyzing internal data relating to the management of projects and resources . Following this observation we presented the first case study , which concerns Aleide's experience with an IT company for which we developed a company intranet for the management of resources, orders and for control and analysis of project profitability KPIs , with the aim of optimizing the organization and increasing profitability. Subsequently, we underlined how important it is to take timing into account when managing data.
In fact, data analyzed late or at a disconnected moment could be useless or even counterproductive. To make this observation concrete, we therefore talked about the work carried out for a retail company that relied on Aleide to create an e-commerce platform with real-time dashboards for controlling RFM indices, abandoned carts, sales data (both in relation to customers than to products) and stocks, so as to improve e-commerce management and lead to a consequent increase in sales. We then focused on one of the main problems that companies encounter during data analysis: fragmentation due to the use of different tools. From this derives the need to be able to create the right connections between the various platforms, as we did for one of our clients who had encountered difficulties in managing data coming from different tools such as Microsoft dynamics for CRM , NTS Business for ERP and Prestashop for e-commerce management . To solve this problem we have therefore developed a multi-connector database where we can collect and manage the heterogeneity of the data, consequently simplifying its analysis.
